About

Hi, I'm Liz

Cozy recipes, family stories, and simple homestead living — served warm from our kitchen to yours.

I'm the homemaker behind Hansen Farmhouse. What started as one stubborn sourdough starter turned into a real love of baking from scratch, and slowly grew into a whole way of running our kitchen and our 26 acres.

Most days you'll find me elbow-deep in dough, filling jars for the pantry, or talking myself into one more homestead project. I started this blog to keep track of what actually works — the recipes worth repeating, the projects worth finishing — and to share it with anyone else who wants a slower, more hands-on kind of home.

Good bread, a full pantry, and a slower kind of home.

Recipes for sourdough and simple suppers, plus what we're learning about growing, raising, and making things ourselves — one season at a time.
